Rangat Police Busts Illicit Liquor Operation in Jungle Raid

In a swift and efficient operation, the Rangat Police successfully confiscated a significant quantity of illicit liquor during a raid in the dense forests of Shyamkund and Urmilapur.

Acting on a tip-off, Sub-Inspector Madhab Halder, Station House Officer of Rangat Police Station, formed a specialized team that included PC K. Sameer and Constables William Barla and Subol Bepari. The proactive team seized 300 litres of Lehan, along with various utensils and timber materials used in the production process. These materials were discreetly hidden within the jungle. Subsequently, all confiscated items were promptly destroyed, dealing a major blow to the illegal liquor manufacturing network.

The entire operation was carried out under the vigilant supervision of Mr. Rahul L. Nair, IPS, Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Rangat, and under the overall direction and supervision of Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, Superintendent of Police for the North and Middle Andaman District.
