In a decisive step towards ensuring justice and maintaining public order, the Rangat Police successfully disposed of 30 case properties, including 27 excise-related items and 3 linked to unnatural death cases (UDFIRs), on April 7, 2025.
The disposal followed the conclusion of trials in the Hon’ble Court of Law, and was carried out under the strict supervision of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Rangat. All procedures were conducted in accordance with legal provisions, highlighting the department’s ongoing efforts to streamline the judicial process and uphold the rule of law.
The majority of the disposed case properties were from excise cases, comprising seized liquor, brewing apparatus, and other materials associated with violations of excise regulations. The three remaining properties related to unnatural death cases were also legally disposed of in the presence of an Executive Magistrate, in the interest of justice.
Authorities have reiterated their appeal to the public to come forward with any credible information regarding criminal or illegal activities. Citizens can contact their nearest police station or call 100, 112, or 03192-273344. Informers’ identities will be kept confidential and may be eligible for rewards. (Story Based on PR)
