Rangat Police Strikes Again, Dismantles Illicit Liquor Operation in Kalsi Village Forest, Destroys 900 Litres of Lehan

In a rapid and effective operation conducted on January 5th, 2024, the Rangat Police exhibited their unwavering dedication to eradicating unlawful activities by successfully intercepting a substantial cache of Lehan in the dense forests of Kalsi village.

Promptly responding to a tip-off, Inspector R.K Mazumder, SHO PS Rangat, assembled a specialised team comprising ASI Samayamuthu, I/C OP Bakultala, HC Mohan Rao, and PC Pradeep Topno. This proactive unit managed to seize a significant quantity of 900 litres of Lehan, accompanied by containers, various utensils, and timber materials crucial to the production process. These clandestine materials were concealed within the jungle. Subsequently, all confiscated items were expeditiously destroyed, delivering a severe blow to the illegal liquor manufacturing network.

The entire operation was executed under the vigilant oversight of Mr. Vishesh Dhatterwal, DANIPS, SDPO Rangat, and under the overall guidance and supervision of Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, Superintendent of Police, N&M Andaman District.
