Rashtriya Hindu Front Submits Memorandum on Population Control to A&N Chief Secretary

A delegation from the Rashtriya Hindu Front (Jansankhya Samadhan Foundation), led by Dr. Anupama Pandey, President of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Unit, Mr. Dilip Kumar, Vice President of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Unit, Members Mr. S Vinit, Mrs. V D Leju and others, met with the Chief Secretary of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration on Friday (11th July 2025) to advocate for the enactment of a Population Control Act.

During the meeting, the delegation submitted a memorandum addressed to the Prime Minister of India, highlighting concerns over population explosion and demographic imbalance. The members urged the central government to take immediate action to address what they described as a growing threat that could potentially lead to civil unrest if left unaddressed.

The organization has been campaigning for over 11 years to promote population balance across different social strata. Its nationwide initiative has included public gatherings, protests, demonstrations, and meetings with Members of Parliament and other prominent figures, including the President of India. The central demand of the campaign is the implementation of a comprehensive Population Control Law.

According to the organization, their campaign has garnered the support of 125 Members of Parliament, including Union Minister Mr. Giriraj Singh and Dr. Indresh Kumar, National Executive Member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Chief Patron of the Foundation.

Dr. Pandey stated that if concrete steps are not taken soon, the organization is considering launching a protest campaign targeting key public representatives, including elected Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) members and Members of Parliament.

In addition to the submission made in Sri Vijaya Puram, memoranda were also handed over to the Deputy Commissioners of Nicobar and North & Middle Andaman districts. In Nicobar, the memorandum was submitted by Mr. Amar Kumar and his associates, while in North and Middle Andaman, it was delivered by Ms. Suman Kumari and her team.
