Ration Rasheed Foundation, a well-respected non-profit organization dedicated to driving positive societal change, orchestrated a triumphant Blood Donation Camp at Swaraj Dweep on December 21st, 2023. The event was designed to address the critical need for blood supply while emphasising the significance of community involvement in life-saving initiatives.
Held at the Fish Landing Jetty, Swaraj Dweep, the camp garnered an incredible response from the local community, with numerous individuals stepping forward to generously donate blood, thereby supporting this noble cause. Their altruistic gestures are set to leave a lasting impact on the lives of those reliant on this life-saving resource. Notably, 60% of the donors were first-time contributors during this camp.
The Ration Rasheed Foundation expressed profound gratitude to all participants, volunteers, and stakeholders whose unwavering support played a pivotal role in the camp’s success. The Foundation acknowledged the invaluable assistance rendered by local businesses, medical professionals, volunteers, and media entities, highlighting their seamless collaboration that ensured the camp’s smooth execution.
In particular, the Foundation extended special thanks to Mr. Sanjay K. Waradkar, CCF Wild Life, Forest Department; Mr. Vikram Singh, Director, Fisheries; Mr. Tapan Kumar Biswas, Assistant Director, Fisheries (SA); the Division Forest Officer of Swaraj Dweep; Pradhan, Govind Nagar Panchayat, Swaraj Dweep; Dr. Sabeela, In-Charge PHC Swaraj Dweep; and Dr. Shahina Sengupta, In-Charge, Blood Bank, GB Pant Hospital.
Acknowledging the support received, Ration Rasheed Foundation expressed sincere thanks to government officials, PRIs, and other stakeholders for their generous contributions, time, and efforts in ensuring the event’s resounding success. Additionally, special gratitude was extended to Mr. Mohd. Jadwet and the staff of M V Makruzz for their exceptional hospitality extended during the camp.
