Mr. RL Rishi (Rishishwarlal Rishi), one of the accused in the Andaman Gang Rape Case has reportedly surrendered before Andaman and Nicobar Police today at Veer Savarkar International Airport, Port Blair. Sources informed that Mr. RL Rishi arrived at Port Blair by Indigo Flight from Chennai.
He was arrested at the Airport by Andaman and Nicobar Police and was brought out from the Departure Gate of the Airport instead of the Arrival Gate.
Mr. RL Rishi was the Labour Commissioner of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and was on run from a long time. Andaman and Nicobar Police had also announced an award of Rs. 1,00000/- (Rupees One Lakh Only) to anyone who could provide information leading to the arrest of Mr. RL Rishi.
Earlier, Mr. Sandeep Singh (Rinku) was arrested from Haryana Border by Delhi Crime Branch and was handed over to Andaman and Nicobar Police.
Mr. Jitendra Narain, Former Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Islands was arrested at Port Blair on 10th November 2022, after his anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the Sessions Court.
