In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election-2024, the SVEEP team of the Returning Officer’s (RO) Office orchestrated an enlightening event for first-time voters hailing from Child Care Institutions (CCI) at Seva Niketan on April 5, 2024. The occasion was graced by the presence of the Returning Officer, ANIPC, Mr. Arjun Sharma, IAS.

During the event, Mr. Sharma addressed the first-time voters, emphasizing the significance of exercising their right to vote in the forthcoming General Election-2024. He urged them to participate enthusiastically, highlighting the pivotal role each vote plays in shaping the nation’s future. “Voting is not just a right, but a responsibility. It’s imperative for every citizen to choose their representative wisely to contribute towards building a stronger nation,” stated Mr. Sharma.

As a gesture of encouragement, the RO distributed commemorative t-shirts and mementos inscribed with the slogan ‘Chunav ka Parv Desh Ka Garv’ (Celebration of Elections, Pride of the Nation) to the first-time voters. This initiative aimed to instill a sense of pride and awareness among the youth about their crucial role in the democratic process.

A total of 17 first-time voters from 9 Child Care Institutions will be actively participating in the democratic exercise by casting their votes on April 19. This proactive engagement underscores the commitment of young citizens towards shaping the future of the nation through active participation in the electoral process.
