In a bid to promote responsible driving habits and strengthen public awareness on road safety, the Rotary Club Next Gen, in collaboration with the TSG Foundation, organized a road safety awareness rally under the theme “Drive Kind, Andaman” on Saturday evening.

The rally commenced at 4 pm from the historic Cellular Jail and concluded at Corbyn’s Cove Beach, drawing significant public attention along the route. Around 10 premium luxury cars participated in the rally, creating a striking visual display aimed at reinforcing the message of safe and courteous driving among commuters and pedestrians alike.

The event was officially flagged off by Mr. Mandeep Grewal, President of Rotary Club Next Gen. As part of the outreach initiative, Rotary members distributed road safety awareness pamphlets to cab drivers at the parking areas of Atlanta Point and near Corbyn’s Cove Beach. The initiative received a positive response from both drivers and members of the public.

The organizers informed that the campaign is being conducted in coordination with the Andaman and Nicobar Police Department. Under the initiative, road safety awareness hoardings have been installed at six prominent locations across Sri Vijaya Puram, along with banners placed at 20 accident-prone spots to further emphasize the importance of safe driving practices.

Reaffirming their commitment to community welfare, the organizers stated that they will continue to undertake programs aimed at enhancing public safety and encouraging responsible road usage across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
