In a heartwarming act of community service, the Rotary Club Next Gen Port Blair has extended support to a differently-abled child from Hutbay. A wheelchair was handed over for six-year-old Miss Monika Minj, who is currently under the care of her grandparents.

The initiative came following a request from the Ranchi Association of Islands, which highlighted Miss Monika’s need for mobility assistance. Responding promptly, the Rotary Club Next Gen Port Blair ensured the necessary support to improve her quality of life.

The wheelchair was formally presented at the office of Club President Mr. Mandeep Grewal, in the presence of Club Secretary Mr. M. Vignesh. The small ceremony symbolised hope and solidarity, underscoring the Club’s commitment to uplifting those in need across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rotary Club Next Gen Port Blair continues to uphold its motto of “service above self,” undertaking initiatives that promote dignity, accessibility, and care for underserved communities.
