In a heartwarming display of community spirit and compassion, the Rotary Club of Port Blair organized a special movie screening for children from local orphanages under its flagship initiative, Project Joy: Movie Day with Little Hearts. The event took place on June 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Diviyum Talkies.

More than 50 children from Seva Niketan and Pranab Kanya Sangha orphanages were invited to enjoy the acclaimed film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, known for its inspiring message and child-centric storytelling. The screening aimed to provide a joyful and memorable experience for the children, many of whom rarely get the opportunity to enjoy such outings.

“Sitaare Zameen Par was selected not just for its entertainment value, but for the profound life lessons it shares,” said organizers from the Rotary Club, emphasizing the emotional and educational impact of the film.

The theatre echoed with laughter, applause, and heartfelt engagement as the children connected deeply with the movie. To make the day truly special, the Rotary Club arranged for transportation and snacks, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

The initiative was led by Rtn. Sagar Khurana, President of the Rotary Club of Port Blair, with support from Rtn. Diwakar Moorthy, owner of Diviyum Talkies, and enthusiastic participation from club members. Their collective efforts made the event a resounding success.
