Rotary Club of Port Blair NextGen Donates Almirahs to Inmates of ULHAAS Women’s Old Age Home

The Rotary Club of Port Blair NextGen has extended meaningful support to the residents of ULHAAS – Women Old Age Home, Atam Pahad, by donating individual almirahs for each inmate on 10 December 2025. The initiative underscores the club’s commitment to improving dignity, comfort, and the overall quality of life of senior citizens in the islands.

Club President Mr. Mandeep Grewal and Secretary Mr. Vignesh, along with other Rotarians, visited the old age home to hand over the almirahs. During the visit, the team interacted with the residents, spending time listening to their experiences and sharing moments of warmth and companionship.

Speaking on the occasion, President Mandeep Grewal said that Rotary’s guiding principle is “service above self,” adding that the gesture was a small but meaningful effort to ensure that elderly residents feel cared for and respected.

The Caretaker of ULHAAS extended heartfelt gratitude to the club, noting that the new almirahs would greatly help residents securely store and organize their personal belongings.

The Rotary Club of Port Blair NextGen continues to actively engage in community welfare initiatives, reaffirming its dedication to fostering a compassionate and inclusive society through impactful service projects.
