Royale College of Tourism and Hotel Management has opened its branch at Port Blair. A Brochure Releasing Ceremony was organised by the authorities of the college at Hotel Lemon Tree, Port Blair yesterday evening.
The Chief Guest in the Brochure Releasing Ceremony was Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Mr. Jagdish Rajpal from Vasudev Kutumbakkan Foundation, New Delhi and Mr. Mohan Vinod, President, Andaman Association of Tour Operators were Special Invitees on the occasion.
Mr. Anurag Bhosle, Chairman, Royale College of Tourism and Hotel Management along with Mr. Uday Shankar Singh, Managing Director, Royale College of Tourism and Hotel Management, Port Blair were also present during the Brochure Releasing Function.
Royale College’s Port Blair Branch will offer students with courses such as Certificate Courses in Hotel Management, Degree in Hotel Management, Certificate in Bartending and Certificate in Airlines Management. According to the management, the fee structure has been kept affordable and their target is to support the growing tourism industry of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Royale College also promises placement assistance to the students who study with them.
Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party speaking on the occasion expressed happiness that Royale College has opened up its branch at Port Blair. He said that the youths of the Islands will be highly benefitted now as the courses catered to the Tourism Industry will be easily available to pursue in the Islands itself. He also extended his full support to the Royale College, Port Blair, Mr. Uday Shankar Singh, MD and the entire management.
Mr. M Vinod, President, AATO while speaking on the occasion said that the need for trained manpower in the tourism industry of the Islands was always felt by the Industry. He further added that it was his dream that the manpower for the tourism industry of the Islands should one day be trained in the Islands. He added that his dream has now been realised with Royale College of Tourism and Hotel Management opening its branch at Port Blair.
Dr. Devdas, Ex-Director of Tourism, Andaman and Nicobar Islands also spoke on the occasion and shared his ideas and thoughts on Eco-Tourism.
Mr.Uday Shankar Singh, Managing Director, Royale College of Port Blair while speaking to Nicobar Times informed that Royale College will be offering courses tailored to the Tourism Industry to the students of the Islands at an affordable fee structure. He further added that the college will also help students in placements for jobs after the completion of their course. He added that the goal of the management of Royale College, Port Blair is to support the growing tourism industry of the Islands by providing it with the skilled manpower required for the job. He also mentioned that the students of Royale College will be well-groomed and will be trained in all aspects important for the tourism industry.
