In a significant move towards addressing community concerns, members of SAHYOG, a leading local organisation focused on community welfare, held a constructive meeting with Mr. Azharuddin Zahiruddin Quazi, Secretary of the Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council (SVPMC).
The meeting, attended by Mr. Selvam, General Secretary of SAHYOG, and Pt. Gyan Prakash Mishra, President of the organisation, focused on pressing municipal issues impacting the local populace.
Key issues discussed during the meeting were:
- Sanitation Infrastructure: Proposals for upgrading waste management systems to create cleaner and healthier surroundings.
- Water Supply: Strategies to ensure a consistent and sufficient supply of clean drinking water to households.
- Road Maintenance and Urban Development: Plans to repair damaged roads and promote sustainable urban growth.
The SAHYOG delegation underscored the importance of a collaborative approach between the community and municipal authorities to implement effective and lasting solutions.
In response, Mr. Quazi lauded SAHYOG’s dedication to public welfare and assured the organisation that the raised concerns would be carefully reviewed and addressed in the upcoming municipal agenda. He reaffirmed the council’s commitment to prioritising these matters.
