The Sports Authority of India (SAI), STC Sri Vijaya Puram, will be conducting selection trials from June 5 to 7 in North & Middle Andaman to induct young athletes into its residential training scheme. The trials are open to sportspersons between the ages of 10 and 14 years and will focus on the disciplines of Kayaking, Canoeing, and Rowing.
Eligible candidates will undergo a thorough selection process based on age verification, a battery of physical tests, discipline-specific skill assessments, and medical fitness evaluations.
Selected athletes under the SAI STC residential scheme will receive comprehensive support including free lodging and boarding, sports kits, exposure to competitions, educational expenses, medical care, insurance coverage, and other miscellaneous benefits.
Interested candidates are required to report at Mayabunder Stadium, North & Middle Andaman, on June 5 at 9 AM. They must bring the original birth certificate, Aadhaar card, sports certificate, and four passport-sized photographs.
