A six days workshop on ‘Sambalpuri Folk & Tribal Dance’, is being organized by the Department of Art & Culture, A & N Administration at Andaman Club. The workshop is being held in collaboration with Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC), Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. The workshop will continue till 25th February 2023.
Sambalpuri Folk and Tribal Dance Exponent, Ms. Sonali Das, from Odisha is the resource person of the workshop. The workshop is being attended by 34 participants.
Sambalpuri folk dance mainly originated in the Sambalpur District, Odisha. It is a traditional dance form of western Odisha that produces a lasting effect in the minds of the audience. The singing and performance of this form include the typical touch of tribal and rural culture.
