Sanjay Kumar Singh Helps Hundreds of Stranded Citizens

Sanjay Kumar Singh, State Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party and State In-Charge of Seva Hi Sanghtan Programme of BJP has helped hundreds of residents from the Southern Group of Islands to travel back to their homes.

Thousands of residents of Hut Bay, Nancowry, Campbell Bay and other southern group of Islands got stuck in Port Blair after the frequency of ships were reduced by Andaman and Nicobar Administration since COVID-19 cases were rising in the Islands.

These residents were in urgent need to travel back to their homes and were pleading with authorities to make arrangements for them to travel back.

Sanjay Kumar Singh liaised with the senior officers of Andaman and Nicobar Administration and ensured that arrangements were made for these residents to go back to their homes.

Further, several residents who were in urgent need to travel and for some reason couldn’t get their names added in the list for travelling back to their homes, were also helped by Sanjay Kumar Singh by putting their name forward to the authorities and advocating for their need to return back.

Sanjay Kumar Singh also liaised with the authorities to ensure that those in urgent need of travelling from Southern Group of Islands to Port Blair were allowed to travel in the recent sailing of M.V Kalighat.

Several residents of the Nicobar Group expressed their gratitude to Sanjay Kumar Singh for facilitating travel to their respective home Islands.
