The Adhyaksh of Zilla Parishad South Andaman, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, marked a significant milestone on 5th of March 2024, as he laid the foundation stone for the renovation project titled “Renovation of CC Road from Shri. Mani Mistry House to Anganwadi” at Tushnabad Ward No. 02. The ceremony, held on March 5th, 2024, witnessed the presence of key dignitaries including Mr. Boominathan, Up-Adhyaksh of ZPSA, Ms. Rajni, Zilla Parishad Member, along with other ZPMs, members of PRIs, and local residents.
Addressing the gathering, Adhyaksh Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh reiterated the commitment of Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, towards the holistic development of rural areas in South Andaman. He emphasized that the project reflects the Parishad’s dedication to fulfilling the needs of the community. The CC road, linking approximately 20 households in the area, has been a vital lifeline for commuters. The renovation initiative, to be executed in a time-bound manner, aims to enhance the accessibility and convenience for all users.
Expressing their appreciation, members of the public and PRIs conveyed their gratitude to Zilla Parishad for prioritizing the proposed works. They hailed the initiative as a significant step towards improving the infrastructure and quality of life in the region.
The foundation stone laying ceremony not only marks the commencement of a crucial infrastructure project but also underscores the collaborative efforts of the local administration and community towards sustainable development.
