The State Bank of India’s Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) at Sri Vijaya Puram successfully concluded a 12-day Fast Food Stall Udyami Course for 31 women trainees from NRLM Self Help Groups (SHGs) on May 17.
The valedictory ceremony was held in the presence of Mrs. Lalita Tigga, Block Development Officer of Ferrargunj Block, along with Mr. P K Ummer Farooq, Chief Manager of UTLBC, and Mr. Ravi Sankar, Chief Manager of Lead Bank.
Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Lalita Tigga lauded the women for their eagerness to acquire entrepreneurial skills in the fast food sector and encouraged them to work hard towards achieving success and becoming self-reliant.
Mr. Ummer Farooq urged the trainees to apply the skills gained during the training to generate sustainable income. He assured that financial assistance would be made available through banks for those interested in launching their own ventures.
Mr. Ravi Sankar commended the large turnout of women participating in the course, emphasizing the high demand for fast food services among households and tourists alike. He also advised the trainees to focus on incorporating nutritional value in their meals for themselves and their children.
The event concluded with the dignitaries distributing certificates to the successful trainees.
