The Science Centre at Sri Vijaya Puram has launched an ‘Innovation Hub’ aimed at fostering creativity and innovation among school and college students. Designed to be a vibrant platform for budding innovators, the Hub offers hands-on opportunities for students to explore new designs, develop unique projects, and bring their ideas to life.
Open after school hours on Saturdays and Sundays, the Innovation Hub encourages independent thinking, problem-solving, and experimentation. Since its inception, the facility has already attracted around 2,000 student visitors, with several young enthusiasts enrolling as annual members and sharing their concepts through the ‘Idea Box’.
Membership Options and Timings:
The Hub offers both individual and institutional memberships:
– Individual Membership
◦ School Students (Classes VI–XII): ₹2,000 per year
◦ College Students (Science & Engineering): ₹4,000 per year
◦ Batch Timings: Saturdays and Sundays, 10:30 AM–1:00 PM and 2:30 PM–5:00 PM
– Institutional Membership
◦ Schools: ₹6,000 per year
◦ Colleges: ₹8,000 per year
◦ Batch Timings: Tuesday to Friday (prior booking required)
Interested students and institutions can register for membership by visiting the Science Centre between 10:30 AM and 5:00 PM, on or before April 20, 2025.
