Science Centre on Corbyn’s Cove Road, Port Blair, is gearing up to host an enriching educational experience for young minds with its upcoming ‘Holiday Camp’. Designed for students in Class VI to VIII, this month-long event promises an engaging journey through various disciplines from May 2 to May 31, 2024.
The ‘Holiday Camp’ aims to provide participants with hands-on learning opportunities across a spectrum of trades and disciplines. Students will have the chance to delve into subjects such as Aero Modelling, Creative Science, Ship Building, Fun Mathematics, Robotic Science, Model Rocketry, Fun Chemistry, and Astronomy, along with the exciting prospect of Telescope Making.
Each week of the camp will be dedicated to two specific subjects, allowing for an in-depth exploration facilitated by practical experiments. Classes are scheduled to run from 9:15 am to 1:00 pm, ensuring a conducive learning environment for all attendees.
Registration for the camp is currently underway, having commenced on April 26 and set to continue until April 28, 2024. Interested students can secure their spots by paying a nominal registration fee of Rs. 400/- per trade. This fee grants access to a wealth of educational opportunities and experiences tailored to foster curiosity and learning.
To facilitate the smooth operation of the camp, the Science Centre will be offering transportation services for students. Two dedicated bus services will cover all areas in and around Port Blair, ensuring convenient pickup and drop-off for participants. This service can be availed for a fee of Rs. 200/- per trade per week.
