The Science Centre, Sri Vijaya Puram, will organise a special ‘Sky Show’ on January 11, 2026, offering visitors an engaging opportunity to explore celestial wonders through guided observation and live demonstrations.
The Sky Show will be held from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm and will feature informative sessions on the planets Jupiter and Saturn. As part of the programme, visitors will be provided with a sky map of the Sri Vijaya Puram sky, enabling them to identify planets and other celestial bodies with ease.
Participants will also get the rare and exciting experience of observing Saturn and its iconic rings, often referred to as the “Lord of the Rings,” along with Jupiter and its satellites, through a powerful telescope installed at the venue. The entry fee for the Sky Show has been fixed at Rs. 10 per head.
In addition to the Sky Show, the Science Centre will also organise a Bubble Show at 6.15 pm, along with Special 3D Shows at 5.30 pm and 6.10 pm. The entry fee for the Bubble Show is Rs. 10 per head, while the Special 3D Show will be available at Rs. 20 per head for each show.
The event is expected to attract students, families and astronomy enthusiasts, offering an educational and entertaining experience aimed at promoting scientific curiosity and awareness.
