Science Centre to Host Special Evening Shows for Visitors on January 24

The Science Centre at Goodwill Estate on Corbyn’s Cove Road will organise a series of special evening programmes for general visitors on January 24, offering a blend of science, entertainment and hands-on learning experiences for all age groups.

As part of the programme, a Sky Show will be conducted from 5.30 pm to 7 pm, during which visitors will be provided with a sky map of the night sky over Sri Vijaya Puram to help them locate planets and other celestial bodies. Participants will also get the opportunity to observe Saturn with its prominent rings, popularly known as the “Lord of the Rings,” and Jupiter along with its satellites through a powerful telescope, subject to favourable weather conditions.

A Bubble Show, scheduled at 6.45 pm, promises a fun-filled experience specially designed for children and families. The show will feature a variety of bubbles, ranging from tiny bubbles to giant bubbles, including popular attractions such as Doraemon bubbles, cubic bubbles, caterpillar bubbles, fire bubbles and several other creative formations.

The Science Centre will also present a Jurassic Park (Light & Sound) Show at 6.15 pm, offering visitors an immersive experience of the evolution of life across different eras of Earth through engaging light and sound effects. The show will have a duration of 20 minutes.

In addition, 3D Shows will be held at 5.30 pm and 6.45 pm, adding to the range of interactive experiences on offer.

The entry fee for the Jurassic Park (Light & Sound) Show and the 3D Show has been fixed at ₹20 per head, while the Sky Show and Bubble Show will be priced at ₹10 per head for each programme. Visitors have been advised that the Sky Show will be conducted subject to prevailing weather conditions.
