In response to the overwhelming enthusiasm from visitors, the Self-Help Group (SHG) Deepawali Mela, organized by the A&N Islands Rural Livelihood Mission (ANIRLM) under the aegis of the Directorate of Rural Development, has been extended for two more days — October 18 and 19 — at Marina Park. The Mela will remain open to the public from 3 PM to 9 PM.
The extension aims to give more residents and tourists the opportunity to experience and support the wide range of products crafted by local SHG members. The Mela continues to serve as a vibrant platform for women entrepreneurs to display their creativity, promote their enterprises, and engage with the community during the festive season of Deepawali.
