The residents of Nancowry Group of Islands who were stuck in Port Blair since long because of non-availability of ship to travel back to their homes knocked on every door for help. These residents were demanding a ship for long and were seen meeting the authorities at DC Office, Port Blair and Congress Office on 14th of July 2021.
They further visited the Congress Office even today but were not able to meet the Member of Parliament Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma.
Aggrieved by not being able to meet the Member of Parliament even after visiting Gandhi Bhavan for two days in a row these residents knocked on the door of BJP Bhavan.
They reportedly met Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh at BJP Bhavan who spoke to DC Nicobar and finally a sailing of ship was arranged for the residents of Nancowry who are stuck in Port Blair.
Mr. Aslam a resident of Kamorta who has been stuck in Port Blair since long while speaking to Nicobar Times expressed gratitude to Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh who immediately spoke to the authorities and arranged a sailing for them to travel back to their homes.
Mr. Lawrence another resident of Katchal Island who had been demanding sailing for the residents of his Island to travel back to their homes, spoke to Nicobar Times and informed that Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh helped the stranded residents and he is thankful to him.
It is further being reported that the ship for Nancowry Group will sail this Sunday i.e. 18th of July 2021.
