Short Film by Islanders on HIV Awareness titled ‘SOCH’ Released

‘SOCH’ a short film produced for social awareness on discrimination faced by Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) positive patients was released on Youtube earlier today i.e. on 22nd December 2021. The short film has been produced under the banner of Island Treasure Films.

The film is set out in an office where the boss organises a blood donation camp on the occasion of the foundation day of the organisation. The employees of the office donate their blood and one of them is found to be HIV positive after his blood sample was tested.

The staff then informs his colleague about his HIV positive test result.

Other staff of the office starts ignoring the HIV positive employee and due to the act of his colleagues, the employee offers his resignation to his boss.

The boss calls for a staff meeting and explains to his employees that HIV doesn’t spread by working together. Other staff of the office finally accept the HIV positive employee with open arms.

The film is aimed at raising awareness and ending the discrimination that HIV positive patients face.

The film has been produced by Addy Abrar and directed by Chander Sekar Tewari.

DOP & Project Manager of the film is Mr. Sukhsagar Singh Khalon.

The cast of the film includes Ansh Sanjay, Suresh Bahadur, Addy Abrar, Shalini Gurung, Pratibha Kujur and Nancy Sharma.

Mr. Gaurav Sarkar edited the film.
