Sindhu on Trial, Docks at Campbell Bay; BJP Leaders Welcome the Crew; Public Swarms to Jetty for a Peep

Sindhu, the newest addition to the fleet of ships owned by the Directorate of Shipping Services, Andaman and Nicobar Administration today arrived at Campbell Bay on a trial voyage. 

The local BJP Unit under the leadership of Mr. K.C Murugan, Mandal President, BJP, Campbell Bay and Mr. N Kiran, District General Secretary, BJP, Nicobar District welcomed the crew. 

The members of BJP’s Local unit and the general public were also present on the occasion and everyone was too excited to have a look at the interiors of the ship.

Very soon a swarm of residents started rushing towards the jetty to have a look inside the state of the art vessel.

The crew of the ship was very courteous with all visiting members of the public and they showed them around a part of the ship.

The general public appreciated the gesture of the crew and was very happy that they got a chance to have a look at the inside of the ship. 

The 500 Passengers cum 150 Ton Cargo Vessel will prove to be a boon for the residents of the Nicobar District. The Vessel has state of the art and modern interiors.

The vessel has been designed for maximum comfort to the passengers, even the seating class in the ship has been designed for passenger comfort and is spacious.

The bunk class interiors also look great and will provide the utmost comfort to the passengers.

The crew informed Nicobar Times that the vessel on its way back will dock at Kamorta and Hutbay before proceeding to Port Blair.

The general public is very hopeful that with the start of the operations of Sindhu, the transportation problem of the residents of the Nicobar Group will be solved.
