The 9th edition of the Late Dr. B. Srikanth Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament concluded successfully on February 4, bringing to an end nearly three months of competitive cricket marked by enthusiasm, discipline and sportsmanship.
The tournament, which began on November 7, 2025, saw the participation of 24 teams, including several teams representing local government departments, reflecting wide community involvement and support for the event.
Following a series of keenly contested matches, Mus Sporting Club and Small Lapathy Sporting Club advanced to the final. The title clash was played on February 4, with the ceremonial toss conducted by Mr. Amit Kale, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District, in the presence of Mr. Rahul L. Nair, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Nicobar District, and other distinguished dignitaries from the Islands.
The final turned out to be a thrilling and closely fought encounter, with both teams showcasing high-quality cricket and competitive spirit. Amidst loud applause from spectators, Small Lapathy Sporting Club emerged victorious to clinch the championship, marking a fitting conclusion to the tournament.
