SOP for Tourism at North Cinque Island Released; Public Feedback Invited

The Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism (IP&T), Andaman and Nicobar Administration, has announced the release of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Tourism at North Cinque Island, developed in collaboration with the Forest Department and other line departments.

The SOP aims to create a well-defined framework for managing tourism activities on the island while ensuring the conservation of its rich biodiversity and protecting its pristine natural environment.

The guidelines focus on promoting responsible tourism, visitor safety, environmental conservation, and the regulation of vessel operations and permitted activities.

To ensure transparency and stakeholder participation, the SOP has been placed in the public domain for feedback. The document is available on the official website of the Directorate of IP&T www.andamantourism.gov.in and www.mygov.in. The Directorate has invited feedback from the general public and stakeholders. Submissions can be made to the Directorate of IP&T on or before March 1, 2025.
