South Andaman ADM Visits Little Andaman, Reviews Development Initiatives and Public Grievances

Mr. Vinayak Chamadia, IAS, Additional District Magistrate and Sub-Divisional Magistrate of South Andaman, paid an official visit to Little Andaman on Wednesday to assess ongoing development activities and address public concerns.

During the visit, Mr. Chamadia, accompanied by Mr. Firoj Alam, DANIPS, SDPO Swaraj Dweep, convened a meeting at the Panchayat Samiti Bhawan in Hut Bay. The gathering included heads of various line departments and elected representatives from Little Andaman Tehsil. The discussions centered on reviewing progress across key developmental projects and deliberating over challenges faced by the region. Officials and Panchayat representatives raised various issues, all of which were taken into consideration, with assurances given to expedite pending works.

A Camp Court was also organized on the occasion, successfully resolving several land revenue cases related to mutations and diversions in the presence of the applicants. The public was also informed about the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana scheme, an initiative designed to provide free electricity to households through rooftop solar panels with subsidized support.

Additionally, the ADM/SDM and his team visited the PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary School in R.K Pur, where they engaged with the principal, staff, and students. The visit included a review of the academic environment and inspection of the Mid Day Meal preparation area, with appreciation expressed for efforts towards providing holistic and inclusive education.
