In a continued drive to safeguard government property from illegal occupation, the South Andaman District Administration carried out an eviction operation on 21st August 2025, at School Line village.

During the inspection, the Revenue Department identified unauthorized encroachments comprising five structures and four fences raised on government land. With the support of manpower and machinery, the team swiftly removed the illegal constructions. The operation resulted in the clearance and restoration of approximately 1,200 sq. meters of land back to the government khata.

The eviction was executed in a peaceful and orderly manner, ensuring that the reclaimed land was duly restored under government ownership.

Reiterating its zero-tolerance policy towards land encroachments, the District Administration has urged citizens not to occupy public land illegally and to extend cooperation in protecting public assets.

For inquiries or to report encroachments, the public may contact the District Control Room at 03192-240127, 238881, 1070, or WhatsApp at 9531888844. Authorities assured that the identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential.
