In a continued crackdown on illegal encroachments, the District Administration of South Andaman has intensified its efforts to reclaim public land, reinforcing its commitment to safeguarding government property.
As part of its recent eviction drive, revenue officials successfully removed unauthorized fencing and reclaimed 2,500 square meters of government revenue land in Hut Bay village, restoring it to the government khata.
The Deputy Commissioner of South Andaman reiterated the administration’s zero-tolerance policy toward encroachments, warning residents against illegal occupation of government land. Citizens have been urged to respect public land boundaries and cooperate with authorities in maintaining the integrity of public spaces.
The administration has assured that eviction efforts will continue across the district in the coming days to address all cases of encroachment.
