In an effort to enhance safety and security, the District Magistrate of South Andaman District has issued an order under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) requiring all landlords, owners, tenants, and managers of residential and commercial properties to submit detailed information about their tenants, paying guests, and househelps to local police stations.

The South Andaman District Police have provided a specific form for this purpose, which can be downloaded from the A & N Police website at the following links: [Form 1] – https://tinyurl.com/4ak3h7f6  and [Form 2] – https://tinyurl.com/bdtp9vr2. Additionally, a QR code is available for quick access to the forms. These forms can also be obtained directly from local police stations, where further assistance is available.

This new measure is designed to bolster the security of residents and curb unlawful activities within the district. By registering all tenants/paying guests, and Servants/househelps, law enforcement aims to create a safer environment for everyone.

All landlords, owners, tenants, and managers are urged to comply with this mandate immediately by submitting the required details to their local police stations.

The cooperation of the general public is crucial in maintaining the safety and security of the community. Residents are also encouraged to report any criminal or suspicious activities promptly by contacting the police at 100, 112, or 03192-236641. The identity of informants will be kept confidential to ensure their safety.

By working together, we can help ensure a secure and peaceful environment for all residents of South Andaman District.
