South Andaman District Police have successfully solved a motorcycle theft case within 24 hours, demonstrating exceptional professionalism. The swift action led to the arrest of the accused and the recovery of the stolen vehicle.
The case was registered at PS Aberdeen on July 29, 2024. A specialised team was immediately formed, comprising SI Arti Roy, HC Vinod Kumar, PCs Jairaj, Jagdish Babu, Surender Singh Yadav, P. Mohd. Rafique, and Naw Eileen, under the supervision of Inspector Vishal Ram, SHO PS Aberdeen. Their diligent efforts resulted in the apprehension of T. Sai Kumar, 23, a resident of Dairy Farm, Japan Road, and the recovery of the stolen motorcycle.
Between January 1, 2024, and July 30, 2024, a total of five motor vehicle theft cases have been registered in the South Andaman District, with three cases at PS Aberdeen and two at PS Pahargaon. The dedicated police personnel have successfully recovered four stolen vehicles and apprehended three suspects during this period. This achievement underscores the South Andaman District Police’s commitment to reducing vehicle thefts through effective strategies.
The police force remains steadfast in maintaining this positive momentum. They plan to continue employing innovative techniques and fostering community collaboration to combat crime. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and support police efforts to curb illicit activities.
