The closure of quarries in South Andaman District has stirred up significant concerns among the public and various government departments, according to a letter sent by the ANTCC (Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee) President, Mr. Rangalal Halder, to the Deputy Commissioner of South Andaman District.

Expressing the ANTCC’s determination to resolve the issue promptly, Mr. Halder stated that if concrete steps are not taken within the stipulated 15-day timeframe, the Congress Party is prepared to stage a massive agitation to draw attention to this pressing matter.

The closure of quarries in South Andaman District has had ripple effects on public infrastructure and the local economy.
