The Election Commission of India, New Delhi has announced the schedule for Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls w.r.t. 01.01.2023 as the qualifying date. As part of this, a special campaign was held today (26th November 2022) & further special campaigns will be held on 27th November 2022 & 3rd and 4th December 2022.
The last date for disposal of claims and objections pertaining to Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls is 26th December 2022 and the final publication of the electoral roll will be on 5th January 2023.
If with reference to the above said qualifying date, there is any claim for the inclusion of a name in the roll or any objection to the inclusion of a name or any objection to particulars in any entry, it should be lodged on or before the 8th December 2022 in Form 6, 6A, 7 & 8 as may be appropriate.
Every such claim & objection should either be presented to the concerned Designated Officer/Booth Level Officer at all designated polling stations or should be sent by post to the Electoral Registration Officer, A & N Islands Parliamentary Constituency or to the concerned Assistant Electoral Registration Officer. Claims and Objections can also be lodged through the “Voter Helpline App”, Online Websites: https://voterportal.eci.gov.in or https://www.nvsp.in and https://www.ceoandaman.nic.in/election/.
