In a targeted operation aimed at combating illicit liquor activities, a team comprising personnel from the Car Nicobar Police Station conducted a Special Excise Raid in Tamaloo Village. Led by Sub-Inspector J.R.Krishna, the team included Head Constable Y Lazar, and Constables Pradeep Singh, Manojeet Gharami, Monica, Solomie, C H Prakash Rao, and Finlayson.
The operation, executed with precision and thoroughness, aimed to crack down on illegal liquor production and distribution within the area. During the raid, which unfolded across various locations within Tamaloo village, law enforcement officials made a significant discovery.
A total of 1100 litres of Lehan, a crucial raw material used in the production of illicit liquor, was unearthed and promptly destroyed on-site. Visual documentation captured the meticulous process of disposal, providing irrefutable evidence of the operation’s success. Additionally, three litres of illicit liquor were seized from Patrick, aged 62, son of Alphage and a resident of Tamaloo Village.
In accordance with Excise Regulations, a case was registered under FIR No: 12/2024. Patrick was apprehended on-site, and both the seized liquor and the accused were transported to the Police Station for further legal proceedings.
