The Election Commission of India has initiated a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency. As part of the exercise, all registered electors are required to fill a fresh Enumeration Form to ensure the accuracy of the voter list.

According to an announcement from the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are visiting households between November 4 and December 4, 2025, to distribute pre-printed Enumeration Forms in duplicate. Each registered voter whose name currently appears on the electoral roll must fill and submit the form to ensure inclusion in the draft electoral roll, which will be published on December 9, 2025.

The CEO clarified that no supporting documents are required during the ongoing enumeration phase. BLOs will make up to three visits to each household to distribute, assist and collect the completed forms.

Electors who have not yet received the Enumeration Form are advised to contact their respective BLOs, call the toll-free helpline 1950, or reach out to the helpdesks set up at the offices of the Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), or District Election Officers (DEOs) for assistance.

The Chief Electoral Officer has urged all electors to cooperate with the BLOs and provide accurate details during the house-to-house visits. The revision drive aims to ensure that, “No eligible voter is left out, and no ineligible person is included in the electoral roll.” (Story Based on PR)
