The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. L. Kumar, IAS, has informed the general public that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls is presently underway across the Union Territory. To make the process easier and more transparent, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has introduced an additional facility that enables electors to fill and submit the Enumeration Form online through the ECI Portal — https://voters.eci.gov.in.

To fill the Enumeration Form online, electors must visit the ECI portal and click on “Fill Enumeration Form.” They should then select their respective State or Union Territory, enter their EPIC number (Voter ID), and click on “Search.” Once the search is complete, the elector’s details will appear prefilled on the screen. The next step is to enter the mobile number and click “Send OTP.” After receiving the OTP, the elector must enter and verify it to proceed further. Following this, one of three options must be selected — “My name exists in the Electoral Roll of last SIR,” “My parent’s or grandparent’s name exists in the Electoral Roll of last SIR,” or “Neither my name nor my parent’s name exists in the Electoral Roll of last SIR.”

After choosing the appropriate option, the elector must enter the required details including State, Assembly Constituency, Polling Station Number and Name, Part Serial Number, and Relationship, and then click on “Search.” If the details of the relative appear, the elector should verify and select the option stating, “My relative’s name exists in Electoral Roll of State in 2002.” Upon clicking “Continue,” the personal details of the elector will appear on the screen. The elector can then fill in or edit the required fields, upload a passport-size photograph, and click on “Preview” to verify all the entered information. Once verified, they can click “Submit” to complete the process.

The CEO has advised electors to ensure that the name on their Aadhaar card exactly matches the name on their EPIC (Voter ID). If there is any discrepancy between the two, the elector should contact the respective Booth Level Officer (BLO), whose name and mobile number are printed on the form, to submit the Enumeration Form offline. Electors may also hand over their Enumeration Forms to BLOs who will be visiting homes during the enumeration phase.

Mr. L. Kumar has appealed to all eligible electors to actively participate in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision and ensure that every eligible voter is correctly enrolled in the Electoral Roll. He urged, “Submit your Enumeration Form online or offline and be a responsible elector.”
