A special medical camp was conducted at Primary Health Centre (PHC), Billiground on 29th September 2025 under the ongoing Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Dr. Meenakshi C. Koteeswaran, Gynecologist, and Dr. Thirumani Prudhvi, Pediatrician, both from Dr. R. P. Hospital, Mayabunder.
The camp opened with a health talk delivered by Dr. Meenakshi and Dr. Thirumani, who addressed key issues related to women’s health and child care. They emphasized preventive healthcare, early diagnosis, and community-level awareness as vital steps towards building healthier families.
The event was attended by Dr. Shailaja P., CMO (NFSG), PHC Billiground, along with Dr. Kesavan Murugesan, GDMO (Allopathy), and Dr. S. Triveni Manju, GDMO (Ayurveda).
Following the awareness session, a wide range of medical services were extended to the community. A total of 52 women received consultations at the Gynecology OPD, while 56 children were examined at the Pediatric OPD. Additionally, 61 individuals underwent Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) screening, 10 expectant mothers availed Ante-Natal Care (ANC) check-ups, and 7 beneficiaries were screened for anaemia. TB screening and Nikshay ID creation were carried out for 5 persons, while 7 adolescents received counselling sessions.
The camp witnessed active participation from the local community and highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare services for women, children, and adolescents under the health mission.
