In a bid to extend healthcare services to remote habitations, the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Billiground organized a Special Outreach Medical Camp at Curtburt Bay on February 14, 2026. Curtburt Bay is among the most remote and outer areas under the jurisdiction of PHC Billiground.

A total of 42 villagers attended the camp and availed themselves of various healthcare services provided by the visiting medical team. The initiative aimed to ensure that quality healthcare facilities reach residents living in hard-to-access areas.

During the camp, screening for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), haemoglobin (Hb) testing, and tuberculosis (TB) screening were conducted. Dr. S. Triveni Manju, GDMO (Ayurveda), PHC Billiground, delivered awareness sessions on leprosy and tuberculosis and demonstrated Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) techniques along with basic first aid management for snake bites and other injuries.

Ayurveda consultation services were also offered to villagers, and medicines for common ailments were distributed to beneficiaries.

The outreach camp forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen primary healthcare delivery and promote health awareness in remote areas.
