As part of the ongoing observance of the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah – 2025 (September 17 to October 16), the Directorate of Social Welfare, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, has announced special registration drives under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) across the Union Territory.
The registration camps are being set up at DBRAIT, ICDS Project Offices, and Anganwadi Centres to ensure easy access for all eligible beneficiaries. The initiative is aimed at improving maternal and child health through financial assistance to expectant and lactating mothers, while also raising awareness on health and nutrition.
The registration drive will run from September 17 to October 16, in alignment with the objectives of Poshan Maah. Eligible women have been urged to visit the nearest registration centre with the required documents to complete their enrollment under the scheme.
The Directorate of Social Welfare has appealed to community members, stakeholders, and beneficiaries to actively participate in the campaign and contribute towards building a healthier and well-nourished society. For further assistance, beneficiaries may contact their respective ICDS Project Offices or nearby Anganwadi Centres.
