Specialised Tactical Driving Course being Conducted for Drivers of A & N Police to Elevate their Proficiency

In a bid to enhance the proficiency of its police drivers, the Andaman & Nicobar Police has joined forces with Headquarters Close Protection Force (CPF), NSG, Manesar, Gurgaon, Haryana, to conduct a specialized Tactical Driving Course. Commencing on May 6th, 2024, the two-week course held in Port Blair aims to fortify the skills and capabilities of Andaman & Nicobar Police drivers.

A cohort of 23 drivers from the Andaman & Nicobar Police force is actively participating in the course, which is tailored to emphasize VIP Security and safe driving techniques. Spearheaded by Officer Capt. Aman Singh, an adept team from NSG is leading the training sessions, which encompass a diverse array of lectures, demonstrations, and practical exercises, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for all participants.

The meticulously crafted curriculum focuses on imparting essential skills in vehicle control, parking principles, and VIP Security aspects. The objective is to elevate the safety and security standards within the region, thereby equipping the police force with enhanced capabilities to address contemporary challenges effectively.

Expressing gratitude to Director General, NSG, and all stakeholders involved, Mr. Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, Director General of Police, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, underscored the significance of such collaborative endeavors in strengthening VIP Security capabilities and ensuring public safety. Senior officers of the Andaman & Nicobar Police also met with the NSG team and participating drivers for a brief interaction, emphasizing the shared commitment towards continuous skill development and the adoption of best practices in law enforcement and security aspects.

This collaborative effort between the Andaman & Nicobar Police and HQ CPF, NSG reflects a concerted commitment towards elevating professional standards and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the law enforcement community.
