Squally Weather Forecast for Andaman and Nicobar Islands: Fishermen Advised to Stay Ashore

Authorities have issued a warning of squally weather with surface winds reaching 40-50 kmph along and off the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The sea conditions are expected to be rough to very rough, posing significant risks for maritime activities.

Fishermen are strongly advised not to venture into the sea around the Andaman and Nicobar Islands until July 16, 2024. High waves, ranging from 2.5 to 3.1 meters, are forecasted to persist until 23:30 hours on July 14, 2024. People involved in marine operations and near-shore recreational activities are urged to exercise extreme caution.
