Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council has announced that it will host the Street Food Festival–2025 on December 6 and 7 near Marina Park. The festival will run from 3 PM to 10 PM on both days, offering visitors an immersive culinary experience showcasing the diverse flavours and food traditions of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
According to the council, the event aims to promote safe and hygienic street food practices while supporting local entrepreneurs and vendors. The festival will also serve as a platform to encourage community-based economic growth and expand livelihood opportunities for small and micro food businesses.
The two-day celebration will feature traditional island recipes as well as creative food innovations, along with live cooking demonstrations and interactive sessions. These activities are designed to spread awareness about clean, sustainable and responsible food vending practices.
The council expects the festival to become a major cultural attraction, bringing together residents and visitors to celebrate local cuisine and community spirit.
