State Bank of India has invited offers for Ready Built/Under Construction buildings on a rental basis for their proposed branch at Campbell Bay.
Currently, Canara Bank and Andaman and Nicobar State Cooperative Bank have branches at Campbell Bay.
Over the years, several representations have been submitted to various authorities by the general public and political leaders of Great Nicobar demanding that a branch of the State Bank of India should be opened at Campbell Bay.
State Bank of India’s Branch at Campbell Bay will ease the life of the residents.
Govt. Employees serving at Great Nicobar Island face many difficulties when the ATMs at Great Nicobar go out of order, as most Govt. Employees have their salary accounts in SBI.
Defence Pensioners also often complain of sub-standard service by other banks.
Central Govt. is focused on the holistic development of Great Nicobar Island, and the State Bank of India has proposed to open a Branch at Great Nicobar at the right time. The demand for quality banking services will only increase as the project materialises.
