State Child Protection Society Organizes Life Skill Education Awareness Program at Darussalam Yatheem Khana

The State Child Protection Society, operating under the Directorate of Social Welfare, recently spearheaded a Life Skill Education Awareness Program at Darussalam Yatheem Khana. Aimed at empowering and educating children under the care and protection of Child Care Institutions (CCIs), the initiative garnered enthusiastic participation from all attendees, eager to equip themselves with invaluable life skills for navigating life’s challenges.

Dr. Nitin Shakya, Director of Social Welfare, underscored the pivotal role of life skills and advocated for the continued implementation of such programs across all CCIs. Stressing the importance of raising awareness among children, Dr. Shakya urged active participation in initiatives aimed at fostering positive impacts.

During the program, Ms. Rehaneth Begum, Program Manager at the State Child Protection Society (SCPS), elucidated the significance of Life Skill Education, emphasizing its profound impact on overall individual development and success. Additionally, drawing kits were distributed to all children, facilitating their engagement and learning.

The program delved into several key areas, including Communication, to enhance children’s ability to express themselves effectively and listen actively; Problem Solving, equipping them with skills to tackle challenges independently; and Emotional Intelligence, aiding in understanding and managing emotions effectively.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of the CCI home, Mr. P.K. Mohammed Ali, In-Charge, lauded the State Child Protection Society (SCPS) for organising the event. He highlighted the critical role of such programs in assisting children under the care and protection of CCIs in developing into independent individuals capable of leading fulfilling and productive lives.

The Life Skill Education Awareness Program at Darussalam Yatheem Khana stands as a testament to the commitment of the State Child Protection Society towards nurturing and empowering vulnerable children, ensuring their holistic development and bright future prospects.
