The State Institute of Education (SIE), Shiksha Sadan, in collaboration with the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi, has commenced two significant training programs aimed at strengthening school leadership and enhancing educational implementation.
A ten-day workshop titled ‘School Leadership Program’ for Vice Principals began on June 2 and will continue through June 13, 2025. Concurrently, a five-day Capacity-Building Program for faculty members of SIE and District Institutes of Education and Training (DIET) on the ‘Effective Implementation of NEP-2020 and NCFSE-2023’ is also underway at Shiksha Sadan, Sri Vijaya Puram.
The programs were inaugurated by Mr. L Kumar, IAS, Secretary of Education, who praised the initiative for empowering school leaders and encouraged all participants to leverage the training to uplift the quality of school education in the region.
Director of Education Mr. Vikram Singh was present at the inaugural function alongside Dr. Santwana Mishra, Associate Professor at NIEPA, who highlighted the program’s objectives and its critical role in fostering leadership and creativity among school heads.
Welcoming the attendees, Ms. Sangeeta Chand, Principal of SIE, expressed optimism about the impact of these capacity-building efforts. The session was further graced by NIEPA resource persons Dr. Gyaneswari Longjam, Dr. Tripti Singh, Dr. Shadma Absar, and Dr. Charu Smita Malik, who will be facilitating the workshop sessions.
Also present were key education officials including Mr. Gyansheel Dubey, Deputy Director of Education (Head of Office), Mr. S. Suresh Kumar, State Project Officer (SMSA), and Ms. Archana Singh, Deputy Director of Education (Planning).
The inaugural ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Sunita Sharma, faculty member at SIE.
