State-Level Re-OrientationTraining on Management of Metabolic Disorders in Homoeopathy Concludes

A three-day State-level re-orientation training programme on ‘Management of Metabolic Disorders in the Homoeopathic System of Medicine’ was organised by the AYUSH Wing of the Directorate of Health Services in collaboration with ANSAS under the National AYUSH Mission (NAM). The programme, conducted for Medical Officers and Community Health Officers (CHOs) of the Health Department, was held from March 12 to 14 at the TGCE Auditorium.

Chairing the inaugural session as the chief guest, Dr. H.M. Siddharaju, Director of Health Services, highlighted that the training programme would serve as an invaluable platform for Medical Officers to gain deeper insights into Homoeopathic practices, particularly in view of the rising prevalence of metabolic disorders. He emphasised the importance of continuous training and capacity building to enhance the quality of healthcare delivery.

Resource persons including Dr. Pradip Kumar Bairi, Former Professor and Head of the Department of Repertory, MBH Medical College and Hospital; Dr. Sajeev, BHMS, MD (Practice of Medicine), Chief Medical Officer, Department of Homoeopathy, Government of Kerala and District Convenor of the Janani Infertility Project; and Dr. Santi Adhikari, RO I/c, Central Research Unit, CCRH, Sri Vijaya Puram, also addressed the participants.

The technical sessions covered a range of metabolic disorders such as Diabetes Mellitus, Dyslipidemia, Insulin Resistance, Gout, Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD), and Obesity. The experts elaborated on the Homoeopathic approach to the management of these conditions.

Earlier, Dr. Kalyan P. Kadbane, Deputy Director (AYUSH), welcomed the gathering.
