In a continued effort to cultivate a love for reading among young learners, the State Library under the Directorate of Education inaugurated its third Tent Library at Government Primary School, Minnie Bay, on February 24.
The initiative marks another significant step towards promoting child-friendly learning spaces at the grassroots level and strengthening reading culture among primary school students.
Mr. J.D. Pushparaj, Principal of GSSS Bathubasti, inaugurated the Tent Library as the chief guest. Addressing the students, he encouraged them to develop regular reading habits and underscored the importance of books in enhancing knowledge, creativity and overall personality development. He also interacted with the children and motivated them to make the best use of the facility.
The Tent Library offers storybooks and age-appropriate reading materials in an open and informal setting, enabling children to read freely and with enthusiasm. The initiative aims to create a welcoming and engaging environment that nurtures curiosity and lifelong learning among young minds.
