Successful Anti-Poaching Operation Nets Seven Poachers from Forest and Creek Area of Bali Tikrey in Kishorinagar

In a significant victory against illegal poaching activities, an anti-poaching team operating under the jurisdiction of PS Kalighat conducted a successful operation in the forest and creek area of Balli Tikrey, Kishorinagar.

Suspicions arose that foreign poachers were hiding in the dense jungle, prompting the anti-poaching team to split into three groups for a thorough combing operation. Their efforts were soon rewarded when the team stumbled upon a group of poachers concealed within the depths of the jungle.

In a bid to evade capture, the poachers attempted to flee upon sighting the law enforcement personnel. However, the anti-poaching team swiftly responded, giving chase and ultimately apprehending all seven poachers.

Following their arrest, the captured individuals were transported to PS Kalighat and will subsequently be handed over to PS CCS for further investigation.

The successful operation underscores the unwavering dedication and effectiveness of the anti-poaching team in safeguarding wildlife and combating illegal poaching activities. Their bravery in the face of danger has been commended, with promises of suitable rewards for their exemplary service.

Supervising the entire operation with vigilance was Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, SP (D) N&MA, ensuring its smooth execution.

In light of this accomplishment, the general public and fishermen are urged to come forward with any credible information regarding the sighting of foreign boats or nationals. They can report such sightings to their nearest Police Station or contact the authorities via phone at No.100, 112, or 03192-273344. Informants can rest assured that their identities will remain confidential, and they will be duly rewarded for their courageous acts.
